North Long Lake

    I am heading up to Sullivans on North Long Lake by Brainerd all next week. Mostly a family thing, but we will find time to fish. Any suggestions? I have never fished this lake before and with all the rain they are getting, I am looking for any and all tips. Thanks in advance.

    Check the paper online, Brainerd Dispatch. They typically put up reports. I would also check in with the local bait shops. S&W would be very convenient for you. I’ve received really good advice from the Hot Spot up in Nisswa when we’ve been ice fishing.

    Walleyes, fish the mid lake humps on the middle lake
    Bass, fish the reeds and pads on the 371 lake
    Crappies, look for suspended fish just off the humps located on the Merrifield lake.
