Any Sky Watchers Tonight?

Bought my wife a telescope for Christmas last year. Get it out on the deck a few times a year. Tonight is a good one with the clear skies. Jupiter is about 4 o’clock to the moon. Cool to see the moons around that planet. Probably can see a moon or 2 with a decent set of binoculars.

Uranus is almost directly to the right (or South) of the Moon and Jupiter.

Neptune is just to the right (or West) slightly lower.

Uranus is usually south no matter how you’re looking at it.
    Too many clouds here.

Blew beer straight threw the nose……thanks Herb

We like sky watching at night in the Clark’s house hold. We don’t have a set up anything like your’s Jon
But we all do have pretty cool app’s on the phones that name everything we point at even in the cloud cover we are experiencing here right now

I put the marine binocs [20 power] on my tripod and could see two moons around Jupiter. Pretty neat stuff. Chilly out there with a bald head….what happened to the 60 degree evenings we had just a couple weeks ago?

Here is a decent astronomy program for your computer to identify anything you can see in the night sky if anyone is interested:
