Jimmy, how do you generally cook the aspargus?? not an of it steamed or boiled…its either raw or on the grill wrapped and seasoned in tin foil!

Pickled in a bloody mary is the best way to eat them.

Was on Tonka again yesterday. Most shallow areas still not holding pennies. Did find some bluegill in 2 feet of water a cattail bay. Had to make 60-70 foot casts or they wouldn’t bite. Boat shy? The water temp there was 49.9. Most shallow spots were 46-48. Open water was 43-45.
Talked with another boat on the lake and he wasn’t finding panfish shallow either. He said some friend were doing well on crappies on the west end of the lake. Talked with a boat at the access on the way out and they found some crappies in the 10-15 ft and he said they had 50 water temp.
The ice sheet that was in Brown’s Bay on Monday blew into Smith’s Bay. Stretched from Big Island to Brackett’s Point. Saw a fishing boat on plane almost drive into it. Don’t know how solid it was since I didn’t go up to it. DNR declared ice out yesterday evening. shock They use the the 90% open water rule.
