July 7, 2014 at 9:40 am #1438188Took a friend musky fishing Friday. He has never been and I’m also a noob… But with some out of the box thinking he landed his first ski and his biggest fish ever. I think I have heard him say ” that’s my biggest fish ever ” on 3 different occasions in my boat. Lots of hoots and hollering after his first ski.
We trolled non typical presentations for several hours then I decided we should rip blade baits on a weedline where a buddy hooked into a ski a week earlier on a jigging rap. Well ten minutes of doing that and my buddy had his medium walleye rod doubled over.
Always fun watching someone hook into their biggest fish. I’m glad he caught it because I don’t think I would have been as excited.
32″ safely released.
French lakeI told him one of these days I’ll show him how to hold a fish
