My livewell on my Lund 1800 Explorer is not working with the switch in the ‘auto’ mode. It shuts off, but does not turn back on. Is this a switch or a timer issue? If its a timer problem, where might the timer be located? Thanks.

I’d call customer service at Lund if you need a quick
answer.LUND BOATS (218) 385-2235
I think the timer is built into the switch. I used
to get air lock on my 1775 Pro-V, and would have to run
it in reverse to unlock it. Don’t know if this is your
problem but mine wouldn’t recirculate occasionally.Good Luck,
Dan
May 14, 2007 at 3:44 pm #570902Thats a common problem with the Lund timers. Any dealer will have the part. It looks like a M-80 firecracker. The timer is located behind the switch panel.
How she running?
May 14, 2007 at 4:26 pm #570921One other way to fix the airlock issue is to turn the pump on, find the pump (mine on a 04 pro v is by the rear battery, under the floor) take the little strap off that keeps the top of the pump from coming off of the pump, unscrew the top off with the pump running. Water will start pumping, put the top back on, the strap on and the well will start filling up.

May 14, 2007 at 6:12 pm #570968Thanks guys. I’ll stop on the way to work at a Lund dealer and swap it out.
Derek, shes running like a champ. Still looks good and handled the big water of Lake Michigan like a dream last week when we caught limits of jumbo perch between 11-13″. I need to get more time off to really enjoy it.

At least that is what fixed my problem.
