That black line running down the side is a dead giveaway….Snook
Coletrain27Posts: 4789September 21, 2020 at 1:59 pm #1974196Head /eyes looks to wide for coyote . Nose looks almost too pointy for wolf. Possibly a very young wolf by the looks of it’s legs. Maybe a mix dog/ wolf?? My screen on my phone is messed up so it’s hard for me to see it well
TimmyPosts: 1183AnotherFishermanPosts: 563Tom SawvellInactivePosts: 9559September 21, 2020 at 2:27 pm #1974213Young wolf. We see young ones in the cabin yard occasionally and this one is a spitting image of those.
September 21, 2020 at 2:49 pm #1974228I’m going to guess Coyote.
The nose is pretty pointed and ears seem big relative to the head. The overall size of the animal is hard to judge without reference, but most wolves I’ve seen are no-doubters.
September 21, 2020 at 3:00 pm #1974233I’m guessing just like everyone else but to me the pointed snout and comparatively smaller head (compared to a wolf) make it look like a coyote.
September 21, 2020 at 4:00 pm #1974283I say shoot em and take it in to the dnr for id? I thought wolf at first but now doubting myself?
critter 1Posts: 115September 21, 2020 at 4:21 pm #1974307Used to own property east of Ely, saw a few wolves from time to time. Looks like a young wolf. Not in great shape.
jwellsyPosts: 1316September 21, 2020 at 4:38 pm #1974319If it was in Mexico, I’d call it a wolf. They have some really scroungy wolfs down there. In Mn I believe coyotes are that mangy.
September 21, 2020 at 4:49 pm #1974323Young wolf. Head size and shape are all wrong for a coyote.
Grouse

September 21, 2020 at 5:45 pm #1974342Photo was taken this morning on the Ash River Trail about 20 miles from Canada.
Does that help or hurt?
September 21, 2020 at 8:03 pm #1974394It’s a juvenile Sasquatch. After it’s a year old or so it’ll get upright and it’s facial features will change.
