Ice fishing in the Bemidji area is going strong. The ice is in good shape on area lakes. Most pan-fish are being found in the staging areas close to where they will spawn right now with a few lakes producing fish very shallow.

Lake Bemidji has been very good for some nice eating sized Perch coming out of the 22-25’ areas. A 1/8th oz Go Devil Jigging Spoon tipped with a minnow head has been one of the better producers. Look for the aggressive fish on your Vexilar. Those are the fish that will meet you when you dropping your jigging spoon to the bottom.
