I had my youngest out fishing today, and was trying to explain to him wait till you feel a thump and set the hook. He’s only 6, so was having a hard time. I thought maybe a noodle rod would be easier for him to see the bite. Went to fleet farm and found the beaver dam one. For 19 bucks, it’s got a nice fast tip into the backbone. It’s not near the same category as my TUCR, but for my kids I think it will be a nice rod at a great price. Anyone else using them?

I like the Shakespeare noodle rod it’s cheap and works great

I saw that too, but I felt it had a lot slower tip and not the backbone

I picked up a beaver dam noodle for the Mrs last year and for the price it’s been a great rod.
