Anyone out there have downriggers on their Navigator tiller? Either the Nav 175T or the Nav 165T?

I have a pair of short arm Scottys that I would like to use on Superior or Lk. MI.

I had a Magnum 175T that had wide gunnels that made it easier for mounting them on but looking for some ideas/suggestions with the narrow top gunnel on the Navigator boat.

I have thought about the “post-style” mounts and bolting them through the deck and I have also seen the “clamp-style” but am curious to know how strong they are.

    Thanks

I ran walker electrics on my 165T navi for a couple of years on Lake Michigan. I used a clapon style to mount them to the gunnel. I still believe I have them after I sold the boat. Worked great, but I did make a safety chain just in case. The Walkers were very heavy, but they handled them just fine.
