Brand New here, and just got my first boat and installed a Lowrance Elite TI2 with the medium/high HD transducer. The system came with a power cable and transducer cable. It has an Ethernet plug on the unit but nothing to plug in there. I mainly troll from 20′-100′ for trout and Kings. My unit says it needs to be updated, but I can’t figure out how to do it. I’m not sure it even come with a SD card.
?#1. What kind of card do I need?
?#2. What will this update do and where do I purchase the DD card from? My unit already picks up Shasta Lake, so I don’t think I need the SD card for lake navigation.
?#3. What settings should I run to get good fish marks and bottom depth/ speedometer readings? I have 200, med chirp, high chirp, and some other choice I can’t remember right now. I prefer to run just 2d donor, but there’s many places in the lake that are 300′ deep. (I never fish that deep).
