River Dan fell off a ladder back in November. Torn tendons have kept him out of work.

Financially his family bills still keep coming in. If you can spare a few bucks or a lot of bucks, it’s going to be appreciated.

Here’s his Go Fund Me page if you have an interest in paying it forward.

Work related? Any work comp. money coming in or is he self employed?

I’ve read that story. Some very good lessons to be learned from it. Some would say he is running on borrowed time. grin I will send you a pm to discuss further.

Dan is one of the good guys. If ya got a few bucks laying around this would be a good place to send it. Anyone that is a regular on the river has talked to Dan or seen him at least. He loves to walleye fish and he loves the Lord. Pretty good combination in my book.

    WOW! You guys ROCK!

There’s so many people that could use a helping hand…where does a person draw the line?

Dan is a humble guy as I think many of use would have a hard time asking for help. That’s why his friend Dave started the Go Fund me page. I’m not sure he’s aware it’s posted here but I’m betting he’s wondering who the names are that are popping up on his GFM page.

If you haven’t, go up a few posts and read about his little toss out of his boat in the winter time. Not only for his story, but for us winter open water fishermen. Dan doesn’t lace up his boots when he goes out in the winter months. There’s a reason for that.

    Thanks again people!

So after taking 5 minutes to donate I took a look at more of the things on go fund me… There is alot of stupid poop that people donate to on there I might make one as “Sam’s new boat fund”

It’s up to over $1,400 now! Won’t take a lot of effort to hit $2k by the 12th. If every guy who posts here in a week chipped in $10-$20 bucks we could make it. The price of a pizza helps out a fellow fisherman and his family. applause

I looked around twice. The first and the last time.

I can see kids trying to raise money to go to Europe. Hopefully they well have as stronger appreciation for America when they come back.

    But New Golf Clubs? Really?

I don’t know. Maybe this is the new thing…beats robbing a bank I ‘suppose.

I’m surprise at how many people want to help out but don’t want credit for helping by donating anonymously.

Its ok to put your name down, its humble and your not bragging if you do.

Doesn’t matter if they want the credit or not. It’s helping somebody out that counts. Whatever makes a person comfortable donating.

I spoke with Dan the other day via messaging to see how he was doing.

“Been moving around working half days now. Don’t feel so bad as long as i stay off ladders, was on a ladder couple days ago could barely walk the next day. I’m just happy getting back in the swing of things again!”
