craig sPosts: 242January 23, 2019 at 4:43 pm #1828818This is a first at home. I got this picture of a ruffed grouse in Stillwater, MN. Been here 22 years and have never heard or seen a grouse. This guy just showed up, must be lost.
I grew up just north of Stillwater(withrow) shot my first grouse and a handful of others on the farm across the road I grew up on. This was also during the 80’s..
January 23, 2019 at 4:46 pm #1828820I have pics of quite a few with either one or both off. However last Thursday I jumped 5 bucks all holding both sides still, and on Sunday I sat and glassed a couple hundred acres of switch grass at first light and counted 8 bucks with both sides and one that was carrying one side.
April 8, 2019 at 6:39 am #1849017Must be some beans left in this plot at home. Deer and turkeys pretty regular in here.

July 25, 2019 at 7:59 pm #1869657Took off to check a couple cameras tonight, and decided it was too nice to go home already. Pretty nice way to end a walk! I’m covered up with deer already in a big crp field that was burned this spring and the deer are going nuts in the new growth! I’m hoping to lay eyes on the big one tonight
