Grass Pickerel, they only get about 12″ long. I was catching them in a trout stream and thought they were Northern. Had a DNR biologist look at one. It should of only had 4 pores under the jaw.

Dryberry Lake in Canada! That place haunts my soul, wish I could figure out how to get back there. Someday maybe, someday.
The picture you have with the yellow caution tape they are blocking off the hole they have cut in the ice. They use the flat boat for loading and hauling the fish. They had that full one day last week. They’ll also go out to check other areas to find fish.
What would you like to know? There locals who are pulling nets through the ice, hauling out buffalo and carp. Local commercial fisherman making a haul is all.
I had one I won at a DU banquet, came with both barrels. Put a 4X weaver scope on and my fully rifled barrel and spent $50 on 5 boxes of different slugs to see what shot best. Never could put 2 within 6″ of each other. What I found out was the barrel has the screw that goes into the magazine which is different than browning or remington. It is virtually impossible to get that hand screw tight enough by hand to keep the barrel from moving after every shot. Try tightening it with a pliers or vice grips. It’ll help but I never could get mine to quit “wandering”.
