42mf or even the 45mxf for 3/8
42mf or even the 45mxf for 3/8
3/16 oz my bad, typically 3/16 oz spoons.
I’m leaning towards trying an evolution series, if what I mostly jig is a 3/8 ounce spoon for walleyes, but perch is always down there as well, but a big walleye can be in the river as well, would the 42mf or the 44l be better suited for 3/16 oz spoons?
Edited to change 3/16 oz not 3/8, my bad
Shoot, the 25% off must have been a black Friday only? I missed this until today.
Have any experience with the evolution series? Even longer yet, worst case scenario I have a rod for only hole hopping!! I’m not right next to a scheels but always looking for an excuse to go so I may have to do that
Is the length worth is or minimal gain over the shorter rods? Have you used them inside at all? Is it doable or strictly a hole hopping gig?
Are you guys strictly using these long rods hole hopping? Ever tried them in like an otter lodge or similar size shack? Ice castle?
If you go to North Dakota and you live minnows you have to buy them in state, and you better have a receipt for them if you get checked. that’s the way it was 3 years ago when I was out there.
as for salting minnows I just put them in a small container with pickling salt(enough to completely cover them) shake them so the salt gets on all of them and freeze, they’ll keep for a very long time this way.

I think I’ll either do this or just freeze without salt, I plan to cut the heads off the night before so I don’t think they will get too mushy in that time. Have you noticed a difference between salted minnows and live?
You want the Camso tracks for snow. Polaris version is just a rebadged Camso. Buy whichever one is cheaper. Atvtracks.net is usually the cheapest place to purchase. I’ve had a ranger on tracks since 2009, they have came along way since then. You always want a spare belt along and tools to change it. I’ve changed one 16 miles out on LOW and it is really not that fun. Drive in low range.
What all have the changed? I’m looking at buying a used set of 2010s tread is obviously worn but they aren’t too bad, what upgrades do the brand new models have?
Do you run a swivel on a jigging rod? If so do you use a floro leader or the same suffix advance?
