Originally from Bemidji, Minnesota, but currently in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I have to admit, open water fishing hasn’t ever grabbed me the same way that ice fishing has. The gear, preparation, challenges, precision, defeats, and victories that come with ice fishing is something I’m fiercely passionate about and really enjoy sharing and learning from others. The “off-season” (everyone else’s regular season) consists of bear hunting, deer hunting, waterfowl, and grouse to pass the long hot months until the first snow shovel comes out.
