Thank you very much for the offer. I did find some Suzuki Marine 10W-40 today.

Here is a list of the places I tried:
    Gander Mountain
    Sportsman Warehouse
    Link Marine
    Walmart
    West Marine
    Napa
    Fleet Farm

I might try Nelson Marine (I’ll call before I go -)

Thanks to those that responded to my problem. I finally called a MinnKota technician and he told me what to do. There is a small notch (more like a nick) on the outside of the lower unit casing. You really have to look hard to see it. That notch has to be down, towards the skeg in order for the motor to turn in the right direction. The way it is designed, when you install the motor it is either up or down. In the four times I had the thing apart, I never, by chance, got lucky and reassembled it correctly.

Thanks Nick. I pushed the two top buttons and it is now only chirping when I adjust the speed up or down (which I like). I must have inadvertenly hit both buttons by mistake and changed the mode.

I assure you the pictures are authentic. The only way I can think to prove it is for you to drive to my house and look at the originals that are still in the digital camera.
    Believe what you want.

I own the X125 and am very happy with the purchase. I too pondered between getting the X125 and X135. The only advantage I saw in the X135 was the “non-amber” light for night use, it did seem clearer (in the store) than the X125’s amber light. In the end I just could not justify the extra $100 just for that. I don’t do that much night fishing, but I have used it a little in the dark I have absolutely no problem seeing it. It’s a great unit.
