Ended up being a huge cluster F. I have bought a license in the past but the bait store in Blackduck could not get me set up as a return customer or as a new customer either. Three 800 numbers later and still no way to find me or to get me set up. Drove 7 hours to Red Lake without a way to get a license. Very frustrating to get the run around from each person on the end of these 800 numbers.

How does the charge hold up on these units while kept in a cold truck all winter? Or is it something that should be brought in each night?

Great info everyone. Thanks for the info. I am thinking a ship direct is the way to go.

It is a NOCO I am looking at. Reviews seem solid but I have no experience with them. Might have to grab one for myself

Pop up ice shelter. My preference is to
stay on the ice but not sure about the walking out part. I have everything needed to camp on the ice probably too much that’s why it would be nice to be able to drive out.

I have the first weekend of December penciled in for my first trip ever to Red. Hoping to overnight on the ice but if we can’t drive out I will set up on shore somewhere with one of the resorts and walk it which is fine with me. Can’t come fast enough!!
