WOW!! I haven’t had time to check in for a couple days. I had to go back and read my post.. ..and yes I was having a bad day. I worked 6am to 6pm, got invited out to supper then to the bowling alley and I had waaaaaay to many grainbelt premiums. Sorry for venting on you guys, and yes I will be at the excursion this year and will bring a lot of premiums along . The all-caps thing is a bad habit because all my computer stuf at work is done in all-caps. I don’t have anything against any type of fishing, Kooty will vouch for me, I think?! We spent alot of time in a boat over the years. I have fished for most everything around here and I even have some pics of myself with paddlefish up to 85lbs. And I am even pretty dam good with a fly rod too..again sorry for the rant.
this is from me to myself

    OK, BK–
THOSE ARE PADDLEFSH IN THAT PHOTO, AND PROBABLY IN OKLAHOMA JUDGING BY THE PIC. THERE ARE SO MANY PADDLES IN THAT LAKE SYSTEM THAT THE LIMIT IS LIKE 5 A DAY!!! RESEARCH YOUR PHOTOS MORE OR JUST PAY ATTENTION!!! I LOOK AT A LOT OF THESE FORUMS AND I CANNOT BELEIVE THE STUPID PEOPLE OUT THERE!! OOOPS I’M SORRY, DID I HURT YOUR FEELINGS? YES, ALL SERIOUS WALLEYE FISHERMEN ARE FISH SNOBS!!!AS BAD AS FLY FISHING PURISTS.L I DEAL WITH THEM EVERY DAY IN THE STORE AND THEY ARE THE TYPES WHO WILL NOT FISH FOR ANYTHING ELSE EXCEPT WALLEYE. YOU GUYS ARE F’N FISH SNOBS!!! I CANNOT STAND TALKING TO GUYS WHO WILL NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT FISHING FOR ANYTHING ELSE, LIKE CATS, STURGEON ETC…… YOU GUYS DON’T EVEN HAVE A CLUE WHAT YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON AND MOST DAYS I HOPE YOU STAY IN YOUR DELUSIONAL FOG. THAT MEANS LESS PRESSURE ON THE WATER FOR ME AFTER THE REAL FIGHTN FISH IN THE RIVER. SORRY, BUT I JUST HAVE TO RANT ABOUT OTHER FISH THAN THE WIMPY WALLEYE, …YOU WALLEYE PURISTS ARE COMPLETEY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE REAL FISHING EXPERIANCE…ITS NOT ABOUT A 18.5″ FISH!!WTF!!!WE CATCH CHANNELS WITH OUT EVEN TRYING THAT ARE 18.5LBS!!!!! OK DELETE THIS POST IF YOU WANT BUT MOST OF YOU GUYS ARE STUPID TO ONLY FISH WALLEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRY SOMETHING ELSE ONCE IN A WHILE.

Hi, if you want to come in June the whole month is great for walleye, salmon, smallmouth and cats. A suggestion, in the Pierre area we have some of the nicest campgrounds in the state. there are some of the best right below the dam with restaraunt, marina, bait shop right there. On this lower part of Oahe the water will be cooler than up by Whitlocks on north, so the walleyes will still be shallow and is great fishing pitching jigs into shore. You can trailer up to Cow Creek or Spring Creek and fish from there. Or you can trailer farther up to Little Bend and go across the lake and fish the mouth of the Cheyenne River area which is where the best bite on the lake happens in May and June. Lots of big open water on the lower end of the lake, you don’t have to worry about hitting any trees. Also, if the wind would blow to hard to get out on the lake you can go below the dam and fish the river which can also be awsome fishing in June.

KWAKHED = QUACKHEAD Just a play on words because all I think about is duckhunting and you can only get 7 letters on a license plate. Those are the plates on my truck!!!! Here is pics of me and my dad on the red at Lockport last year. A guy who works for me was along, we caught 155 over 30″ up to 38″ in 2 days, it was crazy fishing!!

    Hey Briank,
I’m new here & wanted to say hi. I am the coming up to the sturgeon excursion this year, talked to my nephew about it and he says its a blast. You might know him, they call him “KOOTY”… I’m the mngr in a large sporting goods store in Pierre, SD, called Dakotamart. I am going to bring you some more raffle prizes, a Rapala soft-side cooler/tacklebox, a 4-pc Rapala pint glass set, and a couple pair of Quantum fishing glasses. I might even have some extra hats along. I’m really looking forward to doing this, I like catching BIG fish. I got a room in the main lodge reserved and I’ll be bringing a couple other guys with.
