I had a problem very similar to this 3 years ago.

My fuel/oil line got pinched in my jack plate. I was able to free it up and it looked fine once I freed it up. Then the problems began within 30 days after that until eventually a piston seized.

If that line gets pinched in any way it may not display visible damage on the outside. The damage maybe on the inside of the line.

The fuel/oil line is a relatively cheap fix.

Props go to Mercury, they covered the parts even though the warranty ran out. My fuel/oil line looked great on the outside, that’s why it wasn’t evident ay first.

    Good Luck!

I don’t have a lot of time to comment on the Keystone situation. However, I am attaching a article that might shed a little light on the pipeline.

One thing you need to understand is that the oil will still be transported, but it will go by rail instead. If you think a pipeline has a potential to leak, a rail car has to be at least 10 times more likely leak.

Yes, we’re (the U.S) two steps away from bankrupcy! Many more cuts are needed and no sacred cows allowed. Just my two cents….

For anyone that it concerns, get your flood insurance early as there is a 30 day wait (elimination period) when purchasing a new policy.

I have a pretty healthy distrust of politicians. I’m greatly concerned that money would be taken from license/useage fees and added to the general fund to pay for, yet another, social welfare project.

If they’re provisions to guarantee that the money doesn’t go elsewhere I might be for increase in license fees. I would even be in favor of an increase in license fees for tournament anglers, like myself, if it meant the DNR would get the h*ll out of the way and quit treating us (tournament anglers) like the red headed step children.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get off my soap box.

Just a reminder to those that think they might be affected by the spring flooding. Flood insurance has a 30 day wait on newly issued policies, unless the property is newly purchased. Buy it early.

    Good Luck!

The sign was actually a joke. I wasn’t serious. If you read it you’ll find it quite humorous.

This could have been prevented with a simple sign like they use in B.C. Canada.
