My boat is a 1880 with 200hpdi on it. I’m not sure if I’m getting everything out of the motor, but maybe I am. With the boat loaded with gear, 4 batteries, Terrova 101, T8, 2 people and 20 gal gas I’m running about 53 at around 5800rpms. I’m not sure which prop, but I believe it’s the performance series M21(3 blade Yamaha). The motor is mounted in the second of 4 holes(could be raised 2). I haven’t yet looked to see where the cavitation plate is when running wide open. At WOT I can trim as far as the motor lets me and the RPMs don’t drop and there is no porposing. Should I raise the motor and go to a 23p? Or be happy with what I currently have. Hole shot is very good. Any help is appreciated.
