Woo Hoo! And he looks mean!

I’m talking about the dog fish.

Tyler, just don’t forget to stop and teach your dad a few things along the way.

    Great fish Tyler!

When I was about your age, we were visiting family friends that had lived on Tonka since the 50s. We were fishing for crappies off the dock and I tied into a 7-10 lbs dogfish. My Zebco 202 was SCREAMING as the drag ripped out. The owner dropped his cocktail, ran down the dock to try and find a net. I finally got it close and he leaned over a railing on the end of the deck to scoop the fish. It gave loose and him, his net and my fish all went into the lake.

He passed away not to many years ago, I never forgave him for losing my fish. I am glad you landed yours.

Good times. Too bad Americans Funniest Home Videos wasnt around in the late 70s.

Nice fish Tyler. Any idea on the weight of that fish? Looks huge.

And for The Better Half good job teaching him to wear gloves while handling those dogfish. I think I only caught one so far in my life but will never forget trying to get the slime of my hands.

I can’t take the credit for that one. I wasn’t in the boat for the catch. I just post the pictures. I will have to ask the other half (fish any time) what it weighed.
