I got on the water for a quick boat ride and noticed quite a few bass cruising inside edges and on beds. I would expect next weeks opener to be a good one with a mix of pre spawn, spawn, an post spawn fish. The males will be easy over the inside edges, but the females may be tucked into the weeds more. Open pockets a little deeper may be the key. Anyone else planning to be out bright and early on the bass opener?

I was out Thurs saw a few pairs but mostly males getting ready. I think it’s going to be a great opener. I opened last year on Tonka and all the fish were shallow (supprize)with tubes and rattle traps working the best not to mention the 5 muskie fallows.A co-worker has braged about Lake George so we are going there to see if his stories hold water. Back to tonka the walleyes are really nice sized and going pretty good, on opener a friend caught 2 19″ along with other shorts in the morning.
