Last night in looking over the league results there were quite a few smallmouth bass caught. That appeared to account for most the fish caught. Also, those that spent time looking for walleyes were able to find them.

Erik continued is hot streak with a 2nd place finish. His mixed bag consisted of smallmouth, bluegills, a perch, and a walleye. He scored a 16” smallmouth. My lead point getting fish was the 15” smallmouth in the picture above.

We found our fish still relating close to shore and near wood. This week it seemed more important than last week to be near wood.

Good luck to everyone going out.

    Sully:
I saw your invite for an open seat. Wish I had been home. I would have taken you up on it. I fish smallies on Wissota all the time. Would you like to join me some time after work? Or play hooky one afternoon this week? I thought about fishing the tuesday night league and attended the opening meeting at the View, but I decided against it because I’m out of town too much to do well in the league.
