    Local Fishing Regulation Changes for 2020

    Fishing in the Fox River refuge below the DePere Dam in Brown County will be prohibited from March 1 to May 31.

    I’ve never fished there but know people who do. There are a lot of anglers going to be upset with this change.

    I’ve never fished there but have thought about doing it in the past. Is the “Fox River Refuge” below the DePere Dam where everyone fishes in the spring or is the “refuge” only a portion of the river?

    There is a set of power lines that cross the river just below the dam. Between the power lines and the dam is the refuge. It’s always been there and been restricted. This new regulation just extends the restricted period. No big deal.
