Whitefish ice rod

    What TUCR,DH,St.Croix or Fenwick ice rod would be recommended for deep whitefish? Thanks in advance.

    In the shanty I use a 26″-28″ extreme taper rod, XF-light action.

    Outside I use a 33″ extreme taper rod, XF-light action.

    Something like the Bullwhip.

    I make all my own rods.

    If interested I have couple DH al denies and a 27.5″ whitefish rod I am looking to sell.

    Some guys like a little softer rod, not me.

    With he depth that your fishing and how lite they can bite, sensitivity is king!

    Do you guys use braid, mono or fluorocarbon? Maybe a softer rod with braid?
