Does anyone have info on a place in SE metro or Western WI that is looking to buy capes? I feel my local places prices have been really low. Also, anyone have experience in the prices they have been getting for a 3.5 yr and rutted neck with no damage?

when you say Cape, you mean the whole hide… ready to do a mount ? have never done them that way, just neck to tail and I usually donate to Hides for Habitat. In the past, i know we used to take them to the local bait shop (remember them) and got either a pocket knife, a pair of deer hide gloves or $3. I always got the knife and don’t have a one today !!! 
raw they might bring $20-35 at best
you can buy tanned capes for $85-140 ready to mount
tanning costs $35-60 and shipping and salting/labors not free
Usually sell them raw, essentially rolled tail to head and cut at the upper neck and get then skull/rack a few days later. For the last 5/10 years I’ve been getting the 20-40 cited above, so that sounds right.
