Bob and I flipped a coin this morning and the old stomping grounds won! With the water levels coming down the pitching bite is really starting to heat up on pool 3 in spite of the conditions this afternoon. Brite colors were key, fire cracker chart, purple chart and brite colored blades were the top producers.

Any one know the 2 guys that boated the 12+ lb prespawn walleye on sat? They caught the thing snap jigging blades in like 20fow? Made me look like a idiot pitching to shore when their pulling up a hawg in the depths. Id like to see the close up picture I was 20′ away when they boated it. I was out from 12 to 4 and ended up with 10 saugers from prescott. I fished seams all the way to the power plant with only 2 bites that I didnt connect on. All main channel seams though. Probably a good thing my lab isnt much of a netman. Great company anyway!

    FTFY!

if it was in 20ft of water, i know where it was, and i know they weren’t “jigging” those 3/4oz blades…

Im not kidding! I couldnt believe it either. The blade was in its mouth too. No not jigging, ripping like three feet. Either way the fish was huge. I talked with them it was 29.5 and 12 and some change.

No Reuter’s involved. I watched the guy release it. They said it was spurting eggs so they didnt want to keep it. Nice to see people doing the right thing with fish like that.
