    Hi everyone,

Just found out that my partner and I qualified for the Team Walleye Classic in the Quad Cities Area in Sept. We have never fished the Miss and have no clue where to begin. We are familiar with river techniques (3-ways w/ cranks, verticle jigging, etc) but are at a loss as to what parts of the river to key in on during this time of the year. Obviously wing dams are key spots, but what other areas should we look into? Also, where can I find some maps of the pools involved? Fishing Hot Spots makes a map for Pool 13, but we will need others. Thanks for any info that you can send our way!

    marko,

Congratulations on makeing the National Championship. Should be a good tourney for “River Rats” who make it. That’s the beauty of the USFA Championship. It is generally no one’s home turf. Most teams will be on the road which levels out the playing field. The team that get’s in the most pre-fishing and works the hardest will end up in the top ten.

Good Luck down there and give us an update after the tourney.

    J.
