Meeting some friends in La Crosse Thursday. What shape are the ramps in? Any help would be appreciated. Whats the bite right now? Backwaters, wingdams, etc? Thanks in advance. Keep it vertical.

July 3, 2001 at 3:01 am #230891Ramps are all in fine shape. Clinton St on the Black River is always in the the best shape. The backwater bite has been good with this higher water but look for fish to start moving out onto the dams especially the ones that are closer to the sloughs. I would expect to see this pattern develop by the time you hit the water. Let us know how you do.
