Yes. We will be in Cabin 2 at Evert’s from this afternoon until Sunday. Leaving work at noon, so we’ll get there about 2:30 or so. Anyone know what time it is? I think my clock quit working.

    See you then Tom!

I’ll be down, but not fishing until past your bed time Mike.

In the day light….I watch for snakes.

I was out today with my son. Caught 4 eater eyes along can line. Crawlers. Tried cranks. No luck. Good luck, guys.

New to pool 4. Out fishing this weekend. Where is “can line” located?
Trying to get something to take home.
    Thanks.

We did pretty well using Denver Rigs around Lake City. Fished 7-2 and brought back 13 or 14 eyes/saugs(mostly saugs) and 4 jumbo perch. One nice saugeye and the saugs we kept were decent. No cigars. There was 3 of us with one line in each. First time using that presentation and we are all beleivers now. On a side note I bled my share and that made a huge difference. None were muddy/fishy flavored which is what I have come to expect from the river. All fillets were white as I fileted them. Hard to beat a metro day-trip like this. Especially in August.

So what did you run on your Denver rig?

Crossin eyes can correct me but a pinkish 1/4 ounce H2O jig with a Berkely paddle tail minnow for the rig. Best lures were jointed shads. Blue Parrot worked well. They hit the jigs 50% in the morning but later on just the lures.
