Pool 4, wing dam beauty

    Spent a few hours anchoring on wing dams south of Wabasha and came across this line stretcher. 29.5 inches, still swimming. That’s my 16th fish that is over 29 but under 30. Maybe someday the fish Gods will bless me with that ONE wall hanger. $1.50 willow cat on a 1/8 ounce jig.

    Nice fish, 30 is tough to crack on the river. I’ve only done it a few times.

    Wow 16 over 29″ but short of 30″ wish I had your problems. Nice fish!

    The difference between 29″ and 30″ on a wall is
    {———-} Just saying.. Even a 29″ fish is a very nice fish.

    I cut my teeth catching walleyes on lake of the woods, 1963. The measure of a true trophy was deeply engrained & it was 30″. Thanks, Gramps! When I get the one 30 it’ll be in honor of your patience & love of walleye angling.
