Michigan Report, 8 pt. buck

    Well many of us are in between soft and hard water so I will pass along some local hunting news.
    The warm rainy weather has me wishing I hadn’t put the boat in storage
    The hunters with me and in our area report small bucks and does seen but mature bucks hard to find during the daylight hours. The rut is in gear but a lot of nocturnal activity going on. Here is a nice 8 pt that my friend Howard Gasman shot today near Crystal Falls Mich. He used a 7MM Mauser rifle.

    I tried for the big Buck and may get him late season

    but settled for this fat doe last night, She was the 13th I saw yesterday….unlucky for her… I used a .270 Win Featherweight.
