A rough cycle of very strong T-storms and heavy rain has kept this guy off the water for the past several days. Anyone venturing forth lately? Give us a report!

Hi Tom,
The same goes for me too, altho got out in the light
rain on Swan and got one 17″ wae and 9 decent perch on
Sat.
Had a great time up at Ely on Shagawa with the Smallies. Had one 20″ and 30 at 16″ or better. Seems that no one is targeting the Bass. ‘eye fishing was lousy tho.
See yuh.paul17Posts: 9August 5, 2003 at 2:00 pm #272528Just give me a call and we can set up a time and place to
meet. Any species will do. Going to try Haggerman this
afternoon for Smallies. :August 6, 2003 at 6:27 pm #272698How did you do on Hagerman? T-Storms again today! I have a trip scheduled for Sat AM….don’t know where to take em with this weather pattern.
I’ll probably try for bass and pike on Peavy. I’ll catch up with you on the water in a couple/three weeks. Have you been on Brule lately?paul17Posts: 9August 7, 2003 at 12:03 am #272732Did pretty well on Haggerman, 2-17″ & a 19″ SMB plus lots of
dinks. No ‘eyes tho. We started out getting them in 18’ &
they moved up to 10 & 12′ later in the day. They really only
wanted Roach Rigs & crawlers. Leeches struck out.
How do you get clients to fish for anything but ‘eyes?
Every body I get, draws a blank stare when I mention bass
or panfish. Keep in touch, see yuh later.Only word about Brule is lots of little guys.
August 8, 2003 at 2:40 pm #272852Fished Michigamme Falls last night got a few nice Smallies on topwater and tube jigs. I had a 38-40″ Pike up to the boat that hit a jerk bait, but he broke my 10# line at the net. I will have a report under In Depth Angling as soon as my buddy emails me the pics.
paul17Posts: 9August 9, 2003 at 2:16 pm #272892Sounds likr you had a good trip. I was on Sunset last night,
had two keeper ‘eyes and several subs, one nice SMB.
Got into a bunch of 7″-8″ ‘gills, they were a blast. I wish I
had notb forgetten my UL
I hear good reports coming from Iron, but the landing is so
lousy, that we can’t get boats the size of ours in there!Paul
