That was awesome! This morning I hit the woods at 5:30 am and snuck up to with-in 100 yards of where I put 4 gobblers to bed last night. I was barely set-up, decoys in place, the gobblers started a group chorus of uncontolled gobbling. I never made a peep until i figured it was about shooting time and when I figured the “boys” would fly off the roost. I then softly began purrring and softly putting. I then violently began slapping my hand on my loose jacket followed by a short series of slightly louder putting. No response! UGH! About the time I thought I might of spooked them all 4 gobblers flew off the roost and landed by my decoys. OMG! I about had a heart attack! None were strutting so at first I thought they were hens. Until…. I spotted all the blue heads. I seen one that had about a 8 inch beard. The rest looked considerably smaller. I took aim and BOOM!!!!! Tag filled. Now I can give my full attention to helping my grandson get his first gobbler tommorrow. I’ll post pictures later. Hopefully with my grandsons too!

Love it! We all know how tough it can be out there, which makes hunts like that all the more sweet. Congrats, and good luck in getting a bird for the grandson.

Nice job norseman Can’t believe how green the grass is
The grass is green because of the kazillion inches of snow we had down here.
