Got out on the stream for a couple hours this morning (Pierce County). It seems as if the fish are moving pretty slow in the morning hours – I definitely had better luck during the afternoons over the opening weekend. Still managed to bring in a handfull of smaller fish. They seemed sensitive to color as well; nothing in silver worked well so I switched to gold. Got one pic – colorful little guy.

Nice looking fish. I had the best luck with gold body, red spots, silver blade Panther Martins size 6 and 9. Caught enough on silver too. SLOW retrieve was key. Crank to fast I’d get follows but no takes.

bout time you joined! Should have ventured out with ya before work. Looks like the boat will be coming out this weekend as I’m thinking the streams are gonna be chocolate milk.
