After a weekend of very high water it was nice to hit the streams again. The water was still alot higher than normal but not near as muddy as it was on the weekend.

With the cloudy and high water I decided to start with a Silver Super Bow Spinner. On the second cast a 20 inch rainbow smacked the spinner and after a brief battle was landed and released. I fished for another 2 hours with not quite as much success. Landed about 5 small browns (under 12 inches) and a small brookie. Tried some Rapalas and Thundersticks without success so I ended up switching to a Big Bow at the end. The last hole I fished I managed to hook a beautiful brown close to 20 inches (estimate) who after tail dancing several times managed to throw my spinner back to me. All in all, not a bad night to be fishing.

It’s too bad the stream I was fishing couldn’t keep the water flow it had tonight all year. The low and clear water we had before this weekend made fishing this steam real tough.
