Pepin & locks opening

    Good news, locks are opening today & bardges running up Tuesday so Pepin will be open for travel in time for next weekends tournament.

    when’s the ice breaker to go through Pepin? Today?Sunday?

    That may not matter if the ice isn’t off in the marina’s.

    I dout that.. usually takes a week or so for the ice to flow down the river…

    Got this information right from lockmaster & bardges arrived in Red Wing Monday so there is open water all the way down, not to say there may not be some iced areas or chunks, but the information was correct. Hope to see many of you Saturday.

    From last Monday. Two tows arrived at Lock and Dam #3 about 2 in the afternoon.

    ..and the vessel Wisconsin locked down yesterday.
