Chad I’m interested in big Pike. What is a good time of the year if I wanted to troll for them? Approx. how far from Pasha is there good water for that? I’ve seen the reports from James and the area interests me.
Thank you.

If your looking for big pike in this area then your looking at Nipigon. I would not troll for trophys on Nipigon. I would go around the 2/3rd week in June, the weather is generally stable and days are long. The large females will still feed up shallow and be in full recovery from spawn. Target feeder creeks, protected bays, large flats with emerging cabbage. Cast spoons, spinners, spoons, larger rapalas, spoons, large plastics. Did I mention spoons like silver minnows, daredevils etc. Nipigon can be intimidating but if you put in your time the rewards are there. I am sure Chad can help you out with more.
