I’m looking to buy a quality AR 15. I’m willing to spend up to $1500 on a complete rifle minus optics. I’m looking for great accuracy and reliability. I don’t know enough about them to build my own so I just want to buy a complete gun. Wondering what everybodys opininions are? Right now I’m thinking of either Rock River or Colt. Also is there any advantage to the piston driven over the traditional gas system?

How are you planning on using your AR?
I went with a Rock River upper and lower in a 16 inch barrel 223 but I wanted a carry AR for Coyote hunting. Nothing to me gets older then lugging around a 15lb rifle hunting and covering some ground.

We have roads all most every mile around my area so most times we just glass from the road then spot and stalk or set up and use the electronic caller. Weight is not a big issue, but yeah I don’t want it super heavy either. Ive shot a couple RRA ARs and they were nice guns there #1 on my list right now for quality for the money.
