So I love my big Ice Innovations rod box but it is huge and cumbersome at times. If I don’t need/want all my rods I like my Frabill Rod box. However the rods in the Frabill box can slide around and tangle up. So I cut swim noodles apart and strategically placed the pieces. The rods cannot move and tangle. I also use the noodles for my kids rods in their rod bag.

Nice! I’ve fit the noodles over the gunwales of a car-topper to avoid scratching my roof. Most recently I slid a piece over my massive new Lowrance ducer to keep it protected during travel.

Zachary FarrowPosts: 7March 27, 2019 at 11:31 pm #1846512I’ve used noodles for long rod storage. Just drill to the wall and cut a few slits in it accordingly. Works out pretty good for a 50¢ item.
March 28, 2019 at 9:13 am #1846581I have them in my boat to put on the docks at the campgrounds I use to cover the pipes that are on the outside of the dock frame…Saves damage to the sides of the boat due to wave action caused by boat wakes, and high winds, etc…Cut the slits in them, and duct tape finishes the job…Also use bumpers.
Ice CapPosts: 2057March 29, 2019 at 6:36 am #1846877Man how many of those things have I seen laying on the side of the road or in the ditch over the years? Lots! I may have to start picking them up!
March 29, 2019 at 8:35 am #1846900They work good if nature calls too. No need to get close to the side of the boat.
March 29, 2019 at 8:44 am #1846905I put it between my legs and poke the wife in the butt. At the beach I’m sure she loves it

I hope it’s not the same one the college kids use…they work as great beer bongs.

This sounds like a great way to end up needing a prescription for penicillin, depending on who your fishing buddies are.
