I am swapping out my Gen 2 Helix 10 for a Helix 10 Gen4 SI/DI unity. I know the transducer is different but wondering if I have to run a new power cable or can just use the old one??Maybe save a little, you know, effort….

I ran into an issue when I swapped out an older unit (a 998SI) with a gen3 Helix. I don’t remember if the older or new unit had an in-line filter on it, but one did and the other did not. Other than the filter the power cords were the same. When we powered the new helix up it would come on what looked to be normally, and then after that the unit would lock up. I switched to the unit that came with the Helix and all was good. My point is as long as both cords looks the same you are probably good to go.
