Svu/Dvu tranducer

    I am planning on putting a tranducer on my Terrova trolling motor and running the wire
    through the groove on the shaft. Good or bad? Appreciate any feed back. Thanks

    I’d check with both MinnKota and the manufacture of your sonar unit, to see what they say about this. I would assume this will require quite a bit of disassembly to get the wire (with connector) run up thru the groove.

    I had one rigged up this way. Just used silicon to “glue” the transducer cord into the groove on the shaft. I used it that way for 4 years without any issues at all.

    lowrance or Humminbird?

    Humminbird uses a smaller cable compare to the Lowrance

    The one I had was Humminbird.

    I did it many years ago and have had no issues. Used marine silicone adhesive. There is a youtube video out there somewhere that shows how.
