This past weekend was the first trips to the Cedar River in northern Iowa for me. The current flow was a little high, but the clearity was very good with 2-3 feet of visibility. Only caught 2 walleyes but did see a feew other fish caught by others enjoying the beautiful weather. I did need to use a 1/4 ounce jig to maintain bottom contact. Both the 16 inchers I caught were males, milking, and came on a J-5 shad rap.
