Got out for about three hours today. Ice fished where the West Fork and Shell Rock come together. No luck there. The spot is prime, i’ve caught many fish there all times of the year, but they must just not be in there right now because i’ve pounded it the past few days without even a bite, with all kinds of presentations. There is a solid 12-14″ of ice on the area though, and it’s about 8′ of water.
Left there and fished the Cedar River in Cedar Falls below Lookout Hill. Not bite there either, but i just cast jigs, didn’t try any livebait rigs like i had planned on.
