Fished today in Waverly on my way back from trout fishing. Caught two good eater catfish and one small crappie. Lost several fish, one of which was large, probably another big catfish. These were all on jig/twister with no meat. Water was high, but not as cloudy as i would have expected.
Did you fish your usual spot by the bench?????????? 
Yep, that’s where i went. It’s my second time there and it’s paid off twice!
These are the things i hear when the crappies start moving into some of the shallower areas, maybe as shallow as 4′ in the backwaters. If the waters getting fairly clear i might go for crappies under a slip bobber in shallow areas that warm up quick when the suns been around for a few days.
