First the good, My son had good trout fishing this week in the Backbone area. Most of the better fish came on white rooster tail spinners or 1/64 tinsel tail jigs. Now the bad, while he was fishing one afternoon someone got into his truck and stole a fishing rod and his goose calls. The ugly part describes whomever is now fishing with his rod and attempting to use his calls!!!……………..B

Sorry to hear it Big B, its people like that you could use for a good boat anchor! Nothing worse than a theif. At least they can’t steal the memory of you giving those calls to him, or how he felt receving them from you. Tell Shawn to keep his chin up.

B, that is the worst thing that I can imagine – mostly because I grew up in that area. When I’m pheasant hunting, I’ll leave my keys in my truck, unlocked, in case the farmer needs to move it.

People who do this sort of stuff can’t help but brag about it to their friends… I’ll ask around, but odds are it was not someone from the area.
