Hello, Warmer weather as of late along with windy conditions seems to be melting the ice on the Cannon River Chain. The ice on Tetonka and Sakatah is close to being out and the ice on Cannon is completely out as of yesterday [Thurs.].

But the action has been on the narrower parts of the Cannon River below the dams in Morristown, the dam right inside Fairbault near LaCannes Marine and also at the Fairbault Woolen Mill. Casting jigs and live bait from shore are taking crappies and sunfish. Its a good way to get in alittle fishing while waiting for the ice to go completely out on your favorite lake in the area.
