Here is a compare/contrast pic between winter on the St Lou, and now, after the immense rains we received the past 4 days.

Buoy’s have been moved from the current, trees have been jammed up, and the river is almost worse than the lake as far as muddy water goes. It was said she was at flood stage for 2 days there, not sure what it is at now. Cant be much lower as we got dumped on again this evening.

Fishing will be TOUGH for days to come. If you do get out, think like a fish. Would you want to be sitting in 5 to 7 mph currents? I sure wouldn’t. Maybe flatts off the main channel with a lot less flow would be a good spot to start! Hypothesizing here, I would troll slow with BIG blades on crawler harnesses.

She should settle down within 4 days so stay tuned as there will be a temporary pause in the action, but fihsing will pick up again once the floods recede.

Wow that is nuts. Did you find any seams in that water?

Fishing may not be so good but the pictures sure look pretty cool!
