    Anyone know if there is vehicle traffic out on this lake? My grandmother loves rainbows and has not had any for years. I suppose I could just walk out too!

    I’ve been thinking about trying that lake for a while, it’s been years. The last time I was out there we found trout in fairly shallow water so if you were on foot it might not be too bad. It also seemed to help that we stayed away from everyone else and tried to be really quiet.

    I havent been out there for along time also Steve. I also remember catching a few pretty shallow, maybe 8-15 ft.

    They stopped stocking Square two years ago now. Its a three year experiment to see if it brings back the water clarity to the lake. For now, all of the trout are being stocked in Lake Elmo instead.
