Anyone have experience planting sorghum?? I came across twenty bags of seed and was thinking of planting a few acres or it for pheasant habitat and a winter food source

Looks like something happened to my link. It was a link to the QDMA website.
DTMay 5, 2017 at 8:27 am #1692469I’ve planted I before and it makes great pheasant habitat.
You see a lot of it in places like SD.
Great winter cover as they will have trails in it under snow.
I can’t say I saw much sign of them eating it.
I did notice it was tough to dig in in the following spring…like the mistake I made of planting Rye “grass” !May 5, 2017 at 9:13 am #1692496I have not tried sorghum, but always wanted to. We just don’t have many pheasants at the farm, but I have heard deer love it too, late season.
